More Quality Standards added to care maps
Further Quality Standards information is now available for Map of Medicine users in England. Appropriate care maps have been updated to include a new set of Quality Standards from the National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) , setting out markers of high-quality, cost-effective patient care. This builds on the Quality Standards already available in the Dementia, Stroke and transient ischemic attack (TIA), and Venous thromboembolism (VTE) risk assessment and prophylaxis care maps.
The information has been integrated into the appropriate care points of Map of Medicine maps, and is available in the ‘National info’ tab . This integration allows health and social care professionals, as well as patients and carers, to see the relevant statements and associated measures for evidence-based quality care at any given stage of a patient journey. It also means service providers and commissioners for local health economies can access a comprehensive tool that can be adapted for their specific population requirements.
