NCAT accredits more Map of Medicine care maps
The National Cancer Action Team (NCAT) has recently accredited the ‘Melanoma’ and ‘Endometrial cancer’ care maps on the Map of Medicine. This brings the current total of NCAT-accredited oncology maps to eight, with more updates due across 2011/12. See our full list of accredited maps.
The Map of Medicine’s evidence-based clinical care maps cut across traditional boundaries to bring together multiple teams, organisations, and care settings, helping health communities reduce delivery costs whilst improving clinical outcomes. NCAT's accreditation and logo are displayed via the 'Provenance' link in every page of the accredited maps.
The care maps are regularly updated to reflect the latest evidence, expert opinion, and policy information. The contributors nominated by NCAT add practice-based knowledge to the care maps, helping disseminate best practice. Map of Medicine and NCAT would like to thank everyone who participated in the update of these care maps.
