Jeff Dienhart
Managing Director
Jeff joined the Map of Medicine in March 2011.
Jeff has 17 years of experience with blue chip life science companies with a prior background in management consultancy. He has performed a broad range of commercial functions, applying diverse healthcare solutions across primary and secondary care, as well as direct to patient settings. His early career was spent at Becton Dickinson, a global medical device company, where he was UK Market Manager. He then joined Boston Scientific, where he held several roles, rising to European Marketing Director.
Most recently, Jeff spent six years at Groupe Danone, where he was a UK Medical Division Director, responsible for Commercial Functions. He also led industry activities as Chair of the UK Medical Nutrition Executive as well as Chairman of the British Specialist Nutrition Association (BSNA).
Dr Pritpal S Tamber @pstamber
Medical Director
Pritpal's ambition is to bridge the gap between clinical knowledge and how healthcare is delivered. He joined Map of Medicine as Publishing Director in July 2008, before becoming Medical Director in October 2010.
Pritpal started his career as the first ever Student Editor of studentBMJ, a monthly version of the BMJ aimed at medical students; he did this during a sabbatical from medical school. After completing his medical training and spending some time in clinical practice he joined BioMed Central, the innovative open access publisher of peer-reviewed research, where he honed his knowledge of different forms of research and how to assess them for quality and clinical value.
On leaving BioMed Central, he was a Senior Editor of the BMJ with responsibility for the international versions of the journal, as well as the international versions of the BMJ Group's specialist journals, such as Gut, Thorax, and their evidence-based medicine journals. He then ran Medicine Reports Ltd, the producer of Faculty of 1000 Medicine, an online service in which global leaders in healthcare identify the research articles that add to our understanding of healthcare - there are surprisingly few despite the ever-growing mass of literature.
You can follow Pritpal on Twitter.
Nigel Potter
Commercial Director
Nigel has more than 12 years’ experience within the healthcare IT arena, serving with large blue chip corporations and smaller, flexible businesses across Primary, Secondary and Speciality care.
Initially working with McKesson in the secondary care market, he went on to direct teams within Torex Health, encompassing both primary and secondary care, and then Clinical Solutions, a specialist provider to NHS Direct.
Latterly, prior to joining the Map in November 2011, he spent 4 years as a member of the management team at ScriptSwitch, a prescribing decision support tool for GPs, Clinical Commissioning Groups and PCTs before selling that business to UnitedHealth Group.
