Board of Fellows
Map of Medicine is seeking to recruit members to its Fellows Board.
Our Fellows Board is formed of a diverse group of healthcare professionals working across all medical specialities who are committed to clinical excellence in their field.
The role of the Fellow involves offering ad hoc advice on issues relating to their clinical area of expertise that may arise in Map of Medicine’s pathway development process. In addition, our Fellows draw upon their clinical experience to act as reviewers for our pathways prior to publication and contribute practice-based knowledge to the pathways. We envisage that, on average, a Fellow would review two pathways per year with this contribution taking a few hours to complete. The role will be for 24 months, potentially renewable after discussion.
Candidates for the role will have the following attributes:
- Qualified healthcare professional with a minimum of 3 years speciality experience
- Up-to-date knowledge of evidence in their field of expertise
- A broad understanding of evidence-based medicine and clinical governance
- An interest in influencing clinical practice within their field
Please note, no prior experience in publishing or prior knowledge of clinical pathways is necessary, but would be beneficial.
Successful candidates will be listed on our website and will be provided with a letter annually to note their valuable contribution to our pathway development process. There will be no remuneration for the role.
If you are interested in this appointment, please send a brief recent CV to editorial@mapofmedicine.com. If you have any questions about the role, please contact us and we will gladly discuss it further.
